Carol Sue Stephens Torres, age 55, a resident of Johnson Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her home. Carol was born July 21,1962 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Chalmer and Maxine Stephens-Stephens. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Wanda Stephens, Judy Stephens Rudd and Pamela Stephens Anazapolis, and brother Chalmer Stephens Jr. Carol was a homemaker and devoted member to her family and friends. Those left to mourn includes son, Brandon McCarty of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughters, Amy Sue Torres of Glen Fork, Kentucky, Amber Symmes and husband Ritchie of Glen Fork, Kentucky, sisters, Bonnie Chapman of Glens Fork, Kentucky, Brenda Elder of Salyersville, Kentucky, Norma Risner of Salyersville, Kentucky, Peggy Rosenstiel of Bracken County, Kentucky, grandchildren, Kylie Marie Mann and Jamison Lee Tucker of Glen Fork, Kentucky, companion Gary Perkins of Salyersville, Kentucky, and a host of family and friends who love and miss her. Funeral services for Carol Sue Stephens Torres will be conducted Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Floyd Arnett will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Stephens Cemetery on Cow Creek in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Monday, April 23 after 6:00 PM, Tuesday, April 24, after 9:00 AM, and anytime prior to funeral services.
