Melissa Lynn Allen Brown, age 54, a resident of Burton Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. Melissa was born October 17, 1963 at General Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Juanita Taylor Allen. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Ella Jackson and Michelle Allen. Melissa attended college and was employed as a real estate agent for many years. Those left to mourn includes husband, William Paul Brown, whom she married on May 8, 2004, of Salyersville, Kentucky, sister, Dawn Allen of Knox, Indiana, and a host of family and friends who love and miss her. Funeral services for Melissa Lynn Brown will be conducted Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Doyle Keeton will deliver comforting words on the day of services. Interment will follow in the Burton Fork Cemetery on the Left Hand Fork of Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Sunday, November 26, after 6:00 PM, all day Monday, November 27, and anytime prior to funeral services.
