Vera Lou Howard Russell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Vera Lou Howard Russell, age 69, a resident of West Liberty, Kentucky; passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty, Kentucky. Mrs. Russell was born January 13, 1945 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Dewey and Daisy Lykins Howard. Also, proceeding in death is her husband, Joe Russell, whom she married April 29, 1967; and son, Billy Joe Russell. Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and devoted family member. She was also a member of the United Baptist Faith. Those left to mourn include son, Maurice Russell and wife Tina of West Liberty, Kentucky; daughters, Lora Jordan and husband Johnny of Salyersville, Kentucky, Sandra Watson and husband Darrell of West Liberty, Kentucky, Lola Helton of West Liberty, Kentucky, Heather O'Hara and husband Nathan of West Liberty, Kentucky; brothers, Ray Howard, Cleve Howard, Wes Howard, Farley Howard, all residing in Salyersville, Kentucky. Also, surviving are twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a host of family, and friends who love and miss her. Funeral services for Vera Lou Russell will be conducted Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Floyd Arnett will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Russell Family Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Wednesday, September 3, after 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 4, after 10:00 AM, and anytime prior to the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky.
